Summary from author's website:
Lucy is seventeen when she discovers that the women of her family have been cursed through the generations, forced to attempt three seemingly impossible tasks or to fall into madness upon their child's birth. But Lucy is the first girl who won't be alone as she tackles the list. She has her fiercely protective foster parents beside her. And she has Zach, whose strength amazes her more each day. Do they have enough love and resolve to overcome an age-old evil?

Inspired by the ballad "Scarborough Fair," Impossible combines suspense, fantasy, and romance.

Review:
Unfortunately, Impossible is one of my first DNF (Did Not Finish) books since I started my blog. I checked it out at the library and started reading it right away. I really liked it in the beginning but for some reason, I just couldn't get into it or want to keep reading. After renewing twice and reading it for almost a month and not getting very far, I felt I should stop trying and move on to a new book since it was due and couldn't renew it again.

I really don't now why I couldn't finish it because it was exciting and a genre I really enjoy reading. I definitely will give it another try in the future because the story line is highly original, and I loved the writing style. It is so clever and neat to write a book off a song ballad! I really like Simon and Garfunkle's version of Scarborough Fair, so it was really interesting to read a story based off a version of that song written many, many years ago. I know many have enjoyed this book and hope I can too at some point. I really wish I could have finished it but will try again soon. DNF : (

  3. I've only previously heard good things about this book - so sad that you couldn't finish it. I'm actually reading a book right now that might end up being the first book I ever don't finish. Boo! No fun at all!

  5. Aw :( That's disappointing... :( This is one of my fav books ever.

When I read it, it was about to become a Did Not Finish book too, because I just could not get into it AT ALL in the beginning, I liked the idea but I just found it sooo slow...but after about the half way mark it just turned and became amazingly addictive and could-not-put-down at all...hopefully you can try again some time and get to that addictive mark :D
