Adorable Baby Geese Videos!!!

Today my mom was driving and along the road was a pond with family of geese with about 18 little chicks! We stopped and parked to get a closer look : ) I just bought a iPod Nano 5G that has a video camera so what did I do, I pulled out my new Nano and took a video of them! I followed them along and kind of freaked out the mother. She started squawking at me and kept extending her neck back and forth. At one point, I was really afraid she was about to attack me. Here are the videos on YouTube where I just made my first YouTube account:

Waiting on Wednesday (35)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that I'm eagerly awaiting. This week I can't wait for Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick! I just read Hush, Hush last month and loved it. I'm excited to read it when it comes out this summer on November 16, 2010!

Crescendo
 (Hush, Hush Book 2)
By: Becca Fitzpatrick
Description from Goodreads:

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

Hush, Hush Review

Title: Hush, Hush
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Pages: 291
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing
Publication Date: October 13, 2009
My Edition: Hardback
Reading Level: Young Adult
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Received from: won from JYTBB

Summary from Goodreads:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Review:
Hush, Hush consisted off a sexy, partly scary paranormal story with some romance and mystery. Patch who is the main male character is set on being with Nora who is the total opposite of him. He has the total bad boy vibe and acts the part persistently. He does anything possible and even strange acts to be with Nora. Nora reminds me of myself actually because she's smart and quiet, and doesn't go out with the dumb guys at her school. The relationship between her and Patch was very hard to stop reading. Patch seems like the perfect and hot bad boy...

Overall Hush, Hush was a great read, and I enjoyed it a lot. The ending was probably the best part of the book because it was very unexpected and totally surprising. I fell in love with Patch and his story by the end and just can't wait to read the next book in the series.  Debut books I have read lately have been so good and Hush, Hush is definitely included as one of them. The cover is perfect for the book and is also beautiful and so sparkly...one of the best covers! I'm so excited to read Crescendo this November!
